The Really Magazine 2Xlation facility ( beta )
Operational note : The 2Xlator is currently experiencing some d e l a y s caused by one of the world-class online translation services which it makes use of.
Instructions for 2Xlating a web-page :
Enter the www address of the page you'd like to 2Xlate, then click the button ( result may take a few moments . . . )
Known limitations :
• Fittingly perhaps, it's a little temperamental - and has been known to fail once in a while - if so, try another site and it'll probably work.
• Only works on English-based websites
• Only works on html-based pages – no Flash etc etc
Tips :
• don't use 'trailing slashes' . . . as in
www.example.com/
• don't use the' http:// ' prefix . . . as in
http://www.example.com
How it works :
• Translates the page into another language ( currently Japanese ) using one auto-translator, and then back to English using another ( a.k.a. a round trip )
